Hailing from Leicester U.K. Kav is the vocalist & guitarist & co-songwriter of Blitz Vega, a band he co-founded in Los Angeles with late Smiths bassist Andy Rourke.

In 2004 Kav helped reform legendary British band "Happy Mondays" in his early 20’s, joining the band on guitar & touring with the band for 4 years. During this time, he co-wrote their album “Unkle Dysfunktional” and title track “Playground Superstar".

Kav then toured globally as a DJ, hosted club events, and released some solo material.

In January 2017 Kav started recording & working with his longtime friend Andy Rourke bassist with The Smiths. The pair officially launched the project ‘BLITZ VEGA’ in 2019. The band recorded their first ever live sessions and filmed a live EP and documentary at the legendary Abbey Road Studios, Studio Two, which is set to be released in 2024. Blitz Vega played their only full live band show at The House of Machines in Los Angeles to a packed out venue, then Covid hit. They decided to focus on recording after Andy was unable to play live due to illness.

Andy unfortunately passed from pancreatic cancer in May 2023. Kav is now focused on fulfilling his promise to release the Blitz Vega album he & Andy co-wrote together in Los Angeles. The Blitz Vega album will be released in November 2023 on FutureSonic Records, followed by a few select live shows to celebrate the music Kav & Andy wrote together.

Kav is also in the midst of completing his first solo album since 2014 and continuing to collaborate with other artists live and in the studio
