We are pleased to introduce the latest addition to the Wardlaw Music roster, Tim Styles.
Born and raised in the arrowhead range of northern Minnesota, Tim’s music captures his down to earth straightforward upbringing. His dynamic approach infuses the genres of country, blues, folk and rock with seamless effort.
Maxi Priest on Look To The Sky album
Maxi Priest has co-written 2 tracks on Look To The Sky the stunning debut solo album from Simon Law, one of the UK’s finest producer/writers who has been a key part of the Soul II Soul family.
Rodney Branigan One Seed
July sees Rodney Branigan return with the release of his brand new single “One Seed”. The emotive, timeless song was inspired by the celebrated musician’s birthplace of Amarillo, Texas and showcases his liquid fingerpicking and heartfelt vocals.
A highlight of every festival he plays and fresh from blowing away Glastonbury audiences in June, “One Seed” is the first taste of his new album (set for release later this year).
Love Once More
Michal Szyc, finalist in The Voice Poland, releases his new single ‘Kochać Jeszcze Raz’.
(Love Once More) this July, on Universal Poland.
The track is co-written by Wardlaw’s Simon Davis.
Paperface - Let’s Go Traveling
Following the success of ‘Idiot’ comes ‘Let’s Go Travelling’, the new single by Paperface. Taking a wry look at wanting to run away when love flounders, the opening line, “Let’s go travelling, cos’ it’ll solve everything”, neatly sets things up. Recorded in glorious analogue with a live band, the uplifting melody and shamelessly catchy groove brilliantly underscores the sense of irony and the whole thing sparkles with the aid of a live orchestra, recorded in Budapest.
Jon Allen and Yannick Bovy ‘When You Need A Friend’
‘When You Need A Friend’, co-written by Jon Allen, features on the new album Love Swings from Belgium jazz pop singer Yannick Bovy, the ‘Belgian Michael Bublé’.
Released on Universal Records on June 23rd this is Yannick’s third studio album.
Jon Allen is back in the studio recording for his own album, due for release later this year.
Spiderman Homecoming Sync
‘Game On’ by David Bjoerk features in the trailers for Marvel’s blockbuster Spider-Man Homecoming. The sync was negotiated & administered by Wardlaw Music. Congratulations to David and all at his Publisher Phrased Differently.

Are you ready for…… The Fall
Spanish singer Dina Arriaza was runner up in the Voice Spain in 2013. ‘The Fall’ is the debut release from her first album in English. Written by Wardlaw Music’s Grammy Award winning Rob Davis in collaboration with Andreas Lutz, the song is sung in English with a Spanish rap from Andreas.
MTV’s Teen Wolf
‘Game On’ by Siberia features in MTV’s supernatural drama Teen Wolf. Administered by Wardlaw Music. Congratulations to writer David Bjoerk and all at Phrased Differently.
Wizzy Wow ‘Gucci’
Wizzy Wow has linked with Micah Million for his latest video offering ‘Gucci’.
The tune has a chilled beat and subtle dancehall vibes mixed with a trap inflection. Wizzy Wow not only provides vocals alongside Micah Million’s bars, but he also produced the track.
Roesy gets Deadliest Catch Sync
Roesy’s ‘Cast Your Line’ featured as the closing track on Discovery Channels Deadliest Catch Season 13 Episode 4 ‘Crushing Blows’, which premiered May 02, 2017.
The Blackheart Orchestra ‘Sebastian’
The Blackheart Orchestra’s new album Diving For Roses was released at the end of April. The multi-instrumentalist duo have continued to explore their atmospheric, ethereal sound, creating a captivating album. New single ‘Sebastian’ is also out now – you can watch the video below.
Brawlers - it’s Hard Work
Hard-hitting Leeds rock band Brawlers put out a new song, ‘Hard Work’, in early April. Busy as ever, they are playing three shows this week in London, Leeds and Birmingham. Watch the video for ‘Hard Work’ below:
Powerade and NCAA March Madness
Bill Stankey recently worked alongside Powerade and advertising agency Wieden and Kennedy to score Powerade’s latest commercial campaign. The campaign stars NBA player Damian Lillard who plays for the Portland Trailblazers and it first aired on television during the 2017 NCAA March Madness tournament. The campaign features original sound design by Bill, including unusual percussion sounds taken from basketballs and mailboxes.
Ginger Wildheart Goes Country
Ginger Wildheart has recently launched a pledge campaign for his upcoming album Ghost In The Tanglewood. It will be his first album in the country genre and Ginger will be backed by a new group of musicians. Having been raised on country and northern folk music, the Geordie legend says “this stuff has always been in my blood” and he is excited to share something different with his fans.
Rebel Rossa
Rebel Rossa is a new documentary film about Irish revolutionary Jeremiah O’Donovan Rossa told by his great-grandchildren in the wake of the centenary of the Easter Rising. The film’s soundtrack has been composed in its entirety by James Fearnley of the Pogues who easily captured Rossa’s rebellious spirit in tracks such as ‘The Fools The Fools The Fools’ and ‘Hey Ho’, both available to stream/download now.
